August 19, 2024Katie worked at VA Hospital in Virginia, then in the Medical Dept of the U.S. State Department as an Administrative Secretary. She worked for many years in Washington, D.C. for the U.S. State Dept. She traveled to Germany and was a part of the State Department staff that assisted in the January 1981 release of the U.S. hostages from Iran. In 2018 she moved to Rochester and joined St. Joseph’s with her niece, Grace – they attended 4:30 Saturday Mass together.
