Nancy’s family, the Stenners , were among the first settlers in Penfield. Her dad Jake operated a general store. Nancy attended Nazareth College and graduated from Columbia University with her degree in Physical Therapy. Nancy worked as a physical therapist for children with cerebral palsy, and for many years at the Rochester Friendly Home as a dearly loved head physical therapist. After retirement, Don and Nancy spent many happy years in Sarasota, Florida.
Paul served in the US Air Force as an electrician during the Korean war. He was stationed at a radar station on an island in Japan. He played the tuba in the Penfield High School Band and was in the St. Joseph’s Adult Folk group. Paul worked as an electrician and later as a manager of an electrical supply company. He grew up in Penfield and was baptized in the Old St. Joseph’s Church. That is also were he and his wife were married.
Elena was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s for 37 years. She was a devoted Catholic who had a deep faith in God and read her bible daily. Elena was retired from Stoffans greenhouse. Her family was very important to her. Her door was always open to friends and family.
Bob was a parishioner at St. Joseph’s and Holy Spirit since 1992. He was a lector and served on parish council. Bob served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968-1973 and in Vietnam from 1969-1970. He was awarded a Purple Heart. Bob had a dual career as an attorney and as a financial professional.
