Have you noticed that we are living longer and maybe experiencing a better quality of life than our predecessors? Aging need not be viewed as a time of diminishment but an intentional time to harvest all of our life experiences and explore the spiritual invitations of this second coming of age. The soul, like a fine wine, must be properly aged and tended to so it can yield its wisdom in our later years. If you are 60 years or more, come to be awakened to a vision of spiritual eldering.
Fr. John Rose was ordained for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse in 1972. In his 49 years as a priest he has served as a pastor, hospital chaplain, spiritual director, supervisor of spiritual directors, retreat director and spiritual integrator at a mental health healing center for clergy and religious. He recently retired and is enjoying his wisdom years
